Hasui Kawase is a 20th century Japanese painter and illustrator. A great traveler, he spent his life criss-crossing Japan to paint a mosaic portrait of it. In love with his country and close to the theater world, he produces narrative and frontal works, with scenic composition, which we had to add to our catalog of prints! These illustrations were destined to be broadcast. He worked with Watanabe, the most important printmaker of the time. We like to think that Hasui Kawase would have liked our sharing approach. His adventure continues... maybe soon on your walls!
